Just returned from a truly very relaxing week in "Cuach Cottage". We never ever get tired of visiting our holiday home nestled at the foot of the Twelve Ben mountains. Every single morning there is a new vista looming across the Connemara Moorland Landscape.
Home of the Fox, Badger, Otter, Cormorant, Connemara Pony, our very own pair of Mallards residing in a nest of wild Irises, and of course never to leave out the ever present sheep.
Walking the Alcock & Brown visitors site this Feb, was just so informative and pleasurable, not to be missed when visiting Cuach Cottage this summer !!
The town of Clifden was in its slumber mode but we love it like this as the hustle and bustle was gone even if for a short while.
Good dining in Guys as usual, casual pint in Lowneys with the ever present Damian, a really nice guy who welcomes everyone with a big big smile !!
Recommend Lowneys for pure Connemara hospitality and local chat, great fun, trad. music in season, seanos dancing everything one could want on an evenings entertainment.
Walking Mannin Bay and The Coral Strand this Feb. was just the business, looking just like a piece of heaven on earth.
Our first Daffodil appeared on our river bank, just bending in the gentle breeze, birds checking out some possible nesting spots around our cottage. One never tires of the simplicity of mother nature.
Our resident Bluetits up to their usual antics having to see off prospective new lodgers !! All very engaging and exciting.
Next will be the appearance of the little new born Connemara lambs, bleeting over our cottage fence, what a joy to behold. Spring is on it's way,
Liam & Marian.
